Study, Work, Live in Austria

Austria has some of the best universities in the world ranking high in the global university rankings like the University of Vienna (the oldest and most famous university in the country), the Vienna University of Technology, Innsbruck University, the University of Graz, University of Salzburg or Johannes Kepler University Linz, to name a few.

For the majority of the study programs, you need to know the German language. However, don’t be discouraged! Another reason why studying in Austria is a great option is that the country offers multiple English-taught programs, especially on a postgraduate level, and that you can take courses in the German language as well while studying!

The majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don’t look even more slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn’t anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text all the generators on the Internet.

You have to prove that you are capable of financing yourself during your stay for the duration of your study program. The amount required depends on the student:

For students up to 24 years old: 552.53 euros/month.
For students 24 years old and older: 1,000.48 euros/month.

The average monthly living expenses for a student in Austria is approximately 1,000 euros. This may vary a bit, depending on your study location.
On average, students that live alone pay about 400 EUR/month, students living in student accommodation pay around 260 EUR/month, while those who live with a partner/colleague spend around 370 EUR/month.

When it comes to part time jobs, a student can earn upto 800-1000 euros a month and can work upto 20 hours per week.
